The Helen T. Lin Legacy is a non-profit focused on building a network of former students to carry on the passion and determination of Ms. Lin, a groundbreaking China studies scholar and activist. The logo captures the fierce care and support Ms. Lin, nicknamed Mother Tiger, had on her students, and the circular layout continues the her influence on her students for generations to come. The overall aesthetic modernizes the ancient art of paper cutting, layering to create depth for a more dynamic and contemporary feel. Ms. Lin was took a deep look at history to inform her vision and to question the world we live in, and I hope this logo does her spirit justice
